The Cartier love bracelet is similar to the belt in more of a metaphorical way. The bracelet locks around the wrist, and comes with a tiny screwdriver. The locking of the bracelet symbolizes eternal love, and once the bracelet goes on the wrist it isn’t easily removed, the only way to remove it is with the screw driver, therefore it is locked on forever.

Ironically Cartier has implemented a policy, where no customer can purchase the Love bracelet for themselves. So for all you ladies longing for a Cartier Love bracelet, you need to drop some hints to your partner.

I can’t decide if I think the ‘can’t buy it for yourself’ restriction is brilliant or a shameless gimmick.

I can’t imagine anyone refusing a 18k gold bracelet sell for this kind of rule.

Most likely it will go to their and custumer’s little secrets department.
Jewelers do that many often, especially to cheating husbands purchasing gifts to their lovers.

@lake and@luis: I visited Cartier today and with money, I can absolutely purchase this for myself. I was also engaged in conversation with other customers and verified you cannot take it off without the screwdriver/key.

Ooo I like this little self dare. Makes me want to see you naked in cuffs. Too bad it’s not a fact that the only place you can purchase one is in NY 🙂
