Besides having just read “The Neighbor Experiment” which everyone on this site should read and show support to the fabulous Mr. X for hosting us on this site. Today, I finished a book called, “Sweet Surrender” by Maya Banks. It didn’t fall into the similar formula of some other books I’ve read where a billionaire is into kinky fuckery (its not just in the 50 shades series!) This book follows a cop out to seek answers about his partner, killed in the line of duty. While investigating, he meets a young woman possibly linked to the suspected murderer. She is newly single, searching for a man to take care of her in every way imaginable. She wants to find someone who will know what she wants, without having to tell him. There are various scenarios played out in the book. A trip to a private BDSM club, thrilling suspense, kidnapping, murder, lots of saucy sex and more. I’m not a literary scholar but I enjoyed reading this book. (And I’m usually not one to read!) It’s also the start of a series where I assume the characters introduced in the first book are subsequently followed and allowed to develop further. Thought I would share!
